Raw Uncleaned Cotton 

Cotton, often hailed as " King Cotton " has a history that stretches far beyond its practical uses. This humble plant has been woven into the fabric of American Culture, spirituality and tradition. Cotton Magic has been practiced for hundreds of years, due to the fact that cotton was and still is considered sacred by indigenous people for both body and mind. It was known as the Southern Black Conjure Tradition, and believed that it contained spirits of the deceased cotton workers. Cotton also plays a roll in the history of Folk Magic Medicine.

Cotton is a wonderful tool to use when making Voodoo Dolls, Poppet Dolls and more. This cotton was harvested in Massachusetts and has been uncleaned meaning it is raw and will contain stems and parts of the cotton plant.

In Olde World Folk Magic it is used in fishing magic, rain spells by burning during a drought, protection, luck, and healing.  Place cotton in a sugar bowl to draw luck and so much more! Just another way of keeping Olde World Folk Magic and traditions alive!
